ETL Pipeline tutorial

I am trying to learn a little bit about data engineering and I was inspired by this github project: https://github.com/jyablonski/NBA-Dashboard. I'm looking for someone who can take me step by step of how this architecture works in detail and potential improvements that can be made. Ideally looking for someone with expertise in ETL pipelines and data engineering tools doing realtime analytics.
