Descriptive Sales Analysis - Global Superstore
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a global superstore dataset that I'd like to be analyzed. The main focus will be on descriptive statistics, Handling missing values and any three from the following (correlation, Grouping the data, Normalising and scaling, Univariate analysis & visualisation, or outlier treatment) and exploratory analysis, primarily on the sales variable.
The project will involve:
- Standard data science file types and transforming complex data into various representations.
-Process the dataset’s variables and conduct exploratory data analyses and explore the dataset
- Conducting a thorough descriptive statistics analysis on the sales data
- Prepare the data for further analyses, including representation changes, filtering, deriving some new attributes/metrics
- Provide python scripts to explain the relationship between variables and do bivariate analysis and visualisation as needed using Two categorical variables, Numerical Vs numerical and Categorical Vs numerical. Summarise the methods and show workings. ( 200 words)
-Provide code with descriptive comments in the markdown cells and the code presented must efficient and designed with consideration for future expansion of data pre-processing for the exemplar data.
Additional commenting mechanisms must be well used for function documentation with multi-line strings.
- Drawing insights and making inferences from the analysis
- Creating a comprehensive report on the analysis, insights and recommendations for future actions
Ideal skills for this project include:
- Understands Python code using Jupiter Notebook
- Proficiency in exploratory data analysis and statistics
- Experience working with large datasets
- Strong knowledge of data visualisation tools for exploratory analysis
- Ability to effectively communicate findings through a detailed report
If you have a keen eye for detail, a knack for finding patterns in data and can translate your insights into actionable recommendations, then I'd love to hear from you.
