Database with optical character recognition on ubuntu

I want to create a database to store a couple of license plate to be registered on MySQL workbench using oracle. I have a python script with OCR and it will show the OCR result of the license plate after I show an image of the car on the webcam. I want to do a cross-referencing to see if the OCR result showing the license plate on the python script is THE SAME as any of the license plates stored in MySQL workbench. If it is the same, it will take no action but if it isn't the same, it will sound an alarm on the python script indicating that it is not a registered license plate. I am running the python script and the database on a ubuntu 18.04 OS for your information.
