Data Scientist/analyst with Python skills with a passion for tennis
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We are looking for a data scientist/analyst to join our team (at least 20 hours per week). We are a fast-growing company focused on collecting and analyzing professional sports data. You can work entirely from home or anywhere on the planet with a flexible schedule. Your time zone is not important.
You will use various methods to collect and transform raw data, perform quality control, enhance data quality, and merge data into combined datasets – data fusion tasks. Your key tasks will also include analyzing the data, cleaning data along with other engineers, creating quality checks on data, building data models for enriching the datasets, and predicting missing data. Your skills should include knowledge of Python for analytical tasks and some experience in visuals with Python for presentation purposes.
Requirements
· Previous experience as a data scientist/analyst or data engineer or in a similar role
· Knowledge of Python
· Analytical mind with attention to details
· Technical expertise with data models and data mining is a plus
· You are passionate or very familiar with tennis
· Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field is a plus; a Master’s degree is an extra plus
Responsibilities
· Analyze and organize raw data
· Create visuals and tables in a uniform way
· Presenting data findings in an understandable way
· Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
· Build and maintain data systems and pipelines for data preprocessing and modeling
· Store and document your code in our repository
· Work together with other data scientists and developers
