I need an expert with a strong background in Python to extract specific data from a PDF file. You'll need to accurately shift this data to a structured CSV or Excel spreadsheet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Browse a folder containing PDF files
- Extract text-based information from the source files
- Extract each line item and append it to the existing list if not add to the list
- Focus on retrieving numeric data and dates specifically
- Ensure the dates are formatted as 'DD/MM/YYYY'
- Generate a log of processed files and errors if any
Skills & Experience:
- Python programming
- Data extraction, wrangling, and analysis
- Previous work with PDF data extraction strongly preferred
- Attention to detail is vital, to ensure accurate data extraction
