Custom object detection for Raspberry Pi 5
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I am looking for a freelancer who can help me with a custom object detection project for the Raspberry Pi 5. The project requires the detection of a diver an diving rope using images (video or input from camera) with bounding boxes as the output.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in computer vision and object detection algorithms
- Proficiency in working with Raspberry Pi and Python
- Experience in training detection algorithms using complete datasets
- Familiarity with image processing and machine learning techniques
- Ability to optimize algorithms for real-time processing on the Raspberry Pi 5

The object detection needs to be running more at than 15 FPS. Which detection model to use, I leave a decision to the developer. Perhaps SSD Mobilenet v2/3?
I already have Yolov8 model trained for this detection, but its running too slow (2 FPS).
