Create Slack App for Sending/Recording Responses

I'm looking to create a Slack app similar to this -https://autocode.com/slack/templates/slack-standup-bot/ which allows for daily check in updates from all members of the organization. I'd like to have the responses organized in a format where I can call on them to populate a web application I am building separately.
