Excel Automation Tool – Map Trial Balance to Audit Notes Tab

Project Overview:
I need a simple software tool or macro/script that automates a repetitive data entry task.

The Current Manual Process:

1. I receive a client's Trial Balance (Excel file).
2. I open my standard Audit Report template (Excel file).
3. I manually look up account balances (e.g., "Revenue", "Trade Receivables") in the TB and type them into specific rows in the "Notes" tab of my template.
4. Once the Notes tab is populated, my Financial Statements (FS) update automatically because they are already linked with formulas.

What I Want Built:
A tool (web, desktop, or Excel Add-in) where I:

· Upload the Trial Balance Excel file.
· Upload my Audit Template Excel file.
· The tool matches the account names from the TB to the row labels in my "Notes" tab (simple text-match or fuzzy match is fine, no strict AI needed).
· The tool fills the corresponding cells in the "Notes" tab with the correct amounts.
· That's it. I download the updated template, open it, and my FS are ready. No checks, no tie-outs, no validation rules required.

Important: I do not need complex AI, audit trails, or verification pop-ups. Just a straight data-mapper.
