Control Smart Socket via API Script

I'm looking for a script that can control a smart socket over an API-interface, specifically using a Raspberry Pi. The script's primary function will be to turn the socket on and off based on electricity prices.
It should be possible to set the socket to be switched on or off above a certain price limit. Socket should preferably be used by Shelly.

The ideal candidate for this project should have:
- Experience with writing scripts for Raspberry Pi
- Proficient understanding of controlling hardware via API (Awattar)
The API query runs via the link https://api.awattar.at/v1/marketdata?start=1561932000000

- Knowledge of energy monitoring systems
- Ability to create a cost-effective solution

The programming language for the script is flexible, but familiarity with Python, JavaScript or C++ would be a plus. The goal is to create a script that can help manage electricity costs efficiently.
