Project Description:
We are looking for a DevOps or backend developer experienced with Odoo and Kubernetes to set up an automated Runbot-like system that spins up a testing instance every time a Pull Request (PR) is created on our repositories.
We currently manage two types of repositories:
• One repository per individual module.
• One repository containing a collection of modules.
What we need:
• When a PR is created, an Odoo 16 instance should automatically be deployed in a Kubernetes environment.
• This instance should use a preconfigured database where all core modules are already installed.
• The instance must automatically run unit tests on the module(s) modified in the PR.
• The instance should be automatically destroyed when the PR is closed or after a set expiration time.
Technical Requirements:
• Proven experience with Odoo 16.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with Python testing frameworks and Odoo unit tests.
• Experience with Runbot or similar test environments is a plus.
Deliverables:
• Full deployment scripts and configuration (Helm charts, YAML files, etc.).
• Documentation of the setup and usage instructions.
• A working demo showing the full PR-to-instance workflow, including unit test execution.
