Cloud Data Engineer

Rapidly growing company is looking for a skilled IT professional to work closely with our client who is a well-established international media company. The main goal is to develop machine learning recommendation systems for different media types.
Working fully remote from anywhere as a freelancer on the long-term.


Main tasks:

-Implementing the data requirements and making iterative adjustments in coordination with the Data Scientist
-Development and optimization of the machine learning pipeline
-Adaptation and optimization of the cloud production environment
-Development of a model repository for versioning
-Supporting the go-live of Data Science Containers in a highly available and highly scalable environment.


We are looking for:

-Data Engineer experience in agile project
Solid developer background (preferably Python)
-Cloud development experience with any major provider (preferably GCP)
-Good understanding of Machine Learning to effectively collaborate with Data Scientists
-Experience in going live with online machine learning applications
-Willingness to learn
-Openness to express your views
-Good communication skills in English


Technology Stack:

Google Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, Google Dataflow, Apache Beam, Elasticsearch, BigTable, BigQuery, Python, Java, SQL, API, REST, GraphQL.
