Climate change analytics
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for someone to work on a climate change related project which is split in two parts : descriptive and predictive analytics.
1st : A quantitative descriptive analysis of climate change situation.
The descriptive analysis of climate change situation is split into 3 steps :
1.Getting the data The first part is about getting publicly available weather data and about extracting relevant metrics from this data for countries to be defined.
2.Preparing the data. The next step will focus on preparing the data in such a way that we can easily answer questions about average measures like temperature or wind speed per weather station and per country.
3.Generating insights. Finally in the last part we should be able to perform some descriptive analysis based on the prepared data that will show the climate change situation using Python & Tableau.
2nd : Studying the effect of climate change on specific topics
Purpose : Perform ML models to predict some of the impacts of climate change, using the temperature and other parameters
Example : Crop yield prediction, sea level, food production …
