Business Directory Build & Scraping
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to launch a full-featured business directory styled on thebestof.co.uk/local/preston/. If you already have eDirectory software on hand, great—otherwise WordPress, Joomla, or a custom stack is fine as long as the end result is stable, searchable, and easy for me to manage.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Set up the directory platform on my server (or provide hosting if that’s included in your solution).
• Re-brand it with the logo and intro text I’ll supply so the site carries my colours, fonts, and messaging throughout.
• Scrape the reference site and capture every business name, contact detail, category, description, plus all customer reviews and ratings.
• Import that data into the new directory, mapping listings to the correct categories and making sure reviews carry over intact.
Acceptance criteria
– Listings are fully searchable by name, category, and location.
– All scraped data displays correctly, including star ratings for reviews.
– I can add, edit, or remove listings from the admin area without touching code.
– You hand over the finished site along with a CSV or SQL dump of the imported data.
Let me know which tech stack and scraping tools (Python, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, WP All Import, eDirectory bulk import, etc.) you prefer, any license costs I should expect, and a realistic delivery timeline.
