Build a price comparison website
Budget: $10 – $20 USD
I am looking for someone to develop a price comparison website in Django. You will be using a scraper such as Scrapy and Selenium. It will crawl a dozen websites and pull product details such as the vendor/store, title, image, price description, details, stock, ratings, reviews, percentage discount. This information should be in a Postgres database. There should be an option to change the URL products to affiliate links.
Expected features.
1. A front end framework such as Bootstrap, Foundation etc that is responsive, scalable and can turn into a progressive web app in the future.
2. The products table should be automatically populated by the scraper.
3. A scrollable page with discounts in the last 24 hours, week and month from highest to lowest. Discounts no longer available should be crossed out or in a grey tint. There should be filtering based on vendor/store and item category.
4. Only fields that have changed since the last scrape are to be extracted including last time the page was scraped.
5. Analytics page should appear in the admin panel
6. Comparison section on the item page should go from the highest to lowest priced vendor/store.
7. Category page and sub-category should have filters including vendor, item category and price.
