Build SMS Verification Service Platform

Job ID: 40143542

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I want to create a full-fledged SMS verification platform similar to texplug.net. The core requirement is simple but non-negotiable: every virtual number on the site must be able to receive SMS messages reliably. Users will browse available numbers, rent one instantly, and read the incoming verification code on a clean web interface or through an API.

Coverage needs to span both local and international destinations, and I plan to offer two number types right from the start—mobile and toll-free—so the system has to accommodate the different routing and compliance rules those categories demand.

Key deliverables
• A web dashboard (front end + back end) where people can search, rent, and release numbers, then view the incoming texts in real time.
• A developer-friendly REST or GraphQL API that mirrors every function available in the UI, including number rental, message retrieval, and account balance checks.
• Provider integrations that give me mobile and toll-free numbers in multiple countries; the architecture should make it easy to plug in additional carriers later.
• Basic billing logic: pay-per-number and pay-per-SMS tracking tied into Stripe or a similar payment gateway.
• Admin panel with analytics on usage, revenue, and carrier performance.

Success criteria
1. I can rent a local or international mobile or toll-free number from the dashboard.
2. A test SMS sent to that number shows up in the UI and through the API within five seconds.
3. The rental expires correctly when I release the number, freeing it for the next customer.
4. All critical actions are logged, and the platform remains responsive with 1 000 concurrent users.

Tech stack is flexible, but I lean toward a Node.js or Python back end, React or Vue on the front, and PostgreSQL for storage—open to better suggestions if they improve scalability and cost. If you’ve built anything similar or have existing carrier relationships, tell me about it and we can move fast.
