Task: Build AI Chatbot for Distributors with Knowledge Base & Stock Data Integration
We are looking for a freelancer to develop an AI-based chatbot for our distributors. The goal is to automate replies to frequent questions related to our product portfolio, technical documentation, pricing, and logistics.
Key Requirements:
Chatbot Functionality
AI-powered chatbot (preferably GPT-based)
Available 24/7 for distributors on our portal (or via embedded widget)
Ability to respond to:
Product catalogue questions
Technical datasheets / MSDS / certifications
Price-related queries (based on customer type/segment)
Logistic topics: delivery time, batch info, best-before dates
Knowledge Base Integration
Chatbot should access and understand structured and unstructured documents (PDFs, Excel, text, etc.)
Support for uploading internal guidance files (e.g., bonding solutions, application notes)
Option to link to external URLs if needed
Stock Data Automation
Every night we receive a CSV stock file via email
Bot must parse this file and update its knowledge base accordingly
Must flag products with best-before < 3 months and < 1 month
Tech Stack & Integration
Propose best stack to ensure speed, reliability, and future extensibility
Should work with our existing distribution interface or hosted standalone
Suggest ideal email parsing + file processing solution (e.g., Zapier, Make, or custom Python with IMAP)
Deliverables:
Fully working chatbot with backend logic and knowledge upload system
Stock CSV parser integrated with chatbot memory
Instructions/documentation for future knowledge updates and maintenance
