BitBucket DevOp/Python Specialist Needed for Django Social Video Site -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking for a DevOps specialist with solid GiT, BitBucket and CI/CD and experience, who can optimize our Python/Django site by improving our infrastructure as code practices. Individual must not how to develop YML workflows to meet the needs of the organization. This person if qualified, may also work Jira bug issues and site enhancements, when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhancing our existing deployment processes by implementing best practices for Infrastructure as Code.
- Ensuring that our staging and production environments are automated for deployment through BitBucket.
- Ensuring all PRs are thoroughly reviewed, migrations and fixtures are deployed accordingly so that no database
conflicts or code failures arise.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in Git and BitBucket
- Experienced in Infrastructure as Code practices
- Must have server experience of 2 years minimum, Digital Ocean experience preferred.
- Must have minimum 6 years Python/Django experience along with Javascript, Jquery and Angular.js.
- Docker experience is preferred.
- Able to optimize and automate staging and production deployment processes and resolve conflicts, revert code PRs,
- must be able to assist new developers with onboarding and setup of local environments
- must understand and manage database changes for deployment to repository and pipeline
- Strong communication skills as you may need to explain complex technical issues to non-technical team members.
This is an hourly rate position requiring 1-2 hours per day availability where resource must remain in contact with our development team make PR request reviews and deployments, once per day.
When in the developer role, individual may work Jira bug and enhancement issues as needed which will increase opportunities to contribute. Jira bug issues and enhancements will be fixed price based on developer estimates of time expected to complete.
Position will only pay maximum of $20 per hour so please do not bid if you are expecting a higher wage. Bid ONLY if you have the skills and experience required and wage expectations are in alignment with the offering. Otherwise, please do NOT waste time.
