Basic Tutorial integrating Django with ChartJS

I'm looking for a Tutorial that shows how to integrate Django with ChartJS. I know how to setup the Django project, build the models and complete the url mapping to templates, but I do not know how to configure the Django to pass data to ChartJS. I would like to download chartjs using npm (Node Package Manager) and the package.json file. Please see the attachment for more details.
