Bash script auto check an execute

I need a script for
run commands inside
bash shell linux
this script will check thousands of lists
running another python script through bash shell
it will run for lifetime and get files lists in set folder
need to check from time to time in linux process
if the checked list has already ended
if finished it takes a new list in the list folder and executes
having to check if the list has already been executed or not yet
