Bash/Python script to hide all folders and append a name

Hello I have a Bash/shell script that I use on my mac. In the USERS directory It keeps the profile in that I tell it to keep (myliveprofile)and it DELETES all the others in the USERS directory.

I only want to change it so it will NOT DELETE, but HIDE the folders and append the text ".noindex" to the folder name. eg. If the folder is called "test" then new name will be test.noindex"
