Backend Developer for Transport Management System

Freelance Backend Developer – FastAPI + PostgreSQL (Remote)
We are building Varura, a modern Transport and Trading Management System. The frontend is built with React, and we are looking for a skilled freelance backend developer to help us implement core backend functionality.
Project Scope:
You will be responsible for developing API endpoints, database schemas, and backend logic for modules such as:
Vehicle and Driver Management
Freight and Load Tracking
Salary and Payment Management
Reporting and Role-Based Permissions
Requirements:
Strong experience with Python and FastAPI
PostgreSQL (preferably with Supabase)
API development and integration
ORM knowledge (SQLAlchemy or Tortoise ORM)
Authentication and role-based access control
Nice to Have:
Experience working with Supabase
Familiarity with transport/logistics systems
Deployment experience on AWS or Vercel
