Backend Developer

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable backend systems, working with ETL processes, and have expertise in Python, JavaScript, and modern cloud technologies such as AWS and Databricks. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our data pipelines, optimizing databases, and building powerful backend solutions that empower our data-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
Build and optimize ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and data scientists, to integrate backend solutions with data processing frameworks.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code primarily in Python and JavaScript.
Develop and manage databases using MongoDB and PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Work with cloud services, primarily AWS, to deploy and scale backend solutions.
Utilize Databricks for big data processing and orchestration.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor existing backend systems for improved performance and scalability.
Write and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability and performance of backend systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong focus on ETL processes.
Expert in data architecture, data modeling, pipeline design, enterprise architecture, ML and AI architecture, and data governance.
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for backend development.
In-depth knowledge of database management systems like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
Experience with Databricks
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to take initiative and work independently, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.
