Objective:
I am seeking a developer to configure and deploy my existing Python-based BTC trading bot on my Contabo VPS 1 NVMe server (Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS, IP: 84.247.138.151) using Docker and IB Gateway. The goal is to run the bot 24/7 in live mode, trading on Interactive Brokers (IBKR). This project involves starting from scratch by erasing current configurations and ensuring the bot can continuously operate on the Contabo server without interruptions.
**Scope of Work:**
1. **Server Setup & Configuration:**
- Use my existing Contabo server running Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish).
- Erase current Docker and IB Gateway configurations.
- Install and configure Docker, IB Gateway, and all necessary dependencies.
- Ensure that the Python environment is correctly set up to run my bot code 24/7 in **live mode** with minimal downtime.
- Prioritize using IBKR software libraries where possible over third-party libraries (such as pandas). If replacement is needed, ensure the integrity of the trading strategy remains intact.
2. **Python Bot Upload & Execution:**
- Upload and configure my BTC trading bot code (provided).
- Ensure the bot can establish a stable, live connection with IBKR’s IB Gateway for continuous BTCUSD trading.
- Implement logging and monitoring to ensure real-time error handling and trade execution tracking.
- Test the bot thoroughly in both live and paper trading modes to confirm functionality.
**Python Code:**
The Python bot is already developed, with the following primary features:
- Connects to IB Gateway using the ib_insync library.
- Implements conservative trading strategies based on EMAs, RSI, ATR, and pullback conditions.
- Logs trades and monitors cash balance in real-time.
- Uses a main trading loop with conditions to buy and sell BTCUSD.
The developer is allowed to replace or improve upon the existing libraries (except for the core trading logic) to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with IBKR.
**Deliverables:**
- Fully functional BTC bot running 24/7 in live mode on the Contabo VPS server.
- Detailed documentation on how the setup was completed, including instructions for restarting or troubleshooting the bot if needed.
