Python Developer Needed to Build Automated Trading Bot Using Symphony XTS API Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python developer with hands-on experience in Symphony Fintech’s XTS API (Interactive and MarketData) to design and implement a robust and scalable automated trading bot.
The bot will be used for trading Futures and Options in BankNIFTY, NIFTY, and MCX Crudeoil, with a strong focus on modularity, performance, and reliability. This is not a simple script — we are building a long-term, extensible trading platform to execute algorithmic strategies based on live market data.
Responsibilities: Build a modular trading bot in Python using Symphony’s XTSConnect API and WebSocket client Authenticate securely with both Interactive and MarketData APIs Subscribe to live tick data for specified instruments using WebSocket (1501/1502 feeds)
Parse and handle real-time data efficiently for Crudeoil, BankNIFTY, and NIFTY Implement support for multi-leg options strategies, e.g. straddles, spreads, and custom setups Develop utilities to:
Load and filter instrument master (CSV or SQLite) Map instrument symbols to ExchangeInstrumentID Detect nearest weekly expiries Place, modify, and cancel orders using Interactive API endpoints Track positions, P&L, and margin usage in real-time
Build centralized logging, exception handling, and error recovery Support strategy re-entry, stoploss, and rate-limit management
Ensure support for daily refreshes of instrument master files Organize the bot into reusable modules: API, strategy, WebSocket, order manager, risk manager, and utils Required
Skills: Strong Python (3.x) fundamentals with experience building production-grade systems Practical experience using Symphony XTS API (Connect.py & WebSocketClient)
Familiarity with Indian markets and instruments: BankNIFTY, NIFTY, MCX Crudeoil Experience working with pandas, json, datetime, threading, WebSocket, and logging Knowledge of F&O instruments, order types, and trade lifecycle in Indian markets
Strong understanding of API concepts: authentication, request/response formats, rate limits Preferred Experience: Multi-strike options strategy automation Live intraday or positional trading systems Working with SQLite or optimized CSV loaders Tools like Amibroker, TradingView, or backtesting frameworks
Unit testing using pytest or unittest Additional Info: This is a freelance role with potential for long-term engagement
Estimated timeline: 4–6 weeks for initial development phase Clear documentation and modular code structure is a must , we can even hire Full Time
