Add feature of closing a particular excel file in python script

Please read the information carefully. The project is to be delivered within 1-2 hrs and all the payments to be delivered within the same duration by us.
We have an existing python script. We are taking the input file, performing some kind of operation using the input file values, and then storing it in the output excel file.
Disadvantage : As we have to ran the python script many time by changing the input if by mistake the output excel file is opened in system it throws an exception. We want a code where :
1- If the output file is already opened at specific location with particular name. The code will close it first then executes
2- If it is already close then do nothing.
That's it , It is just a minutes job for a good coder, grab the opportunity .
