AWS Lambas, step function execute python code

I have a complete python class I would like imported as a lambda function. I would then like a step function to
1. Execute python code (query to snowflake) which is conplete.
2. Store output file from sed method to s3 location

2nd step function
1. Read excel file from ftp, store on S3 bucket

Straightforward and shouldn't take too much time but will overpay for a quick fux.
