SQL & PySpark Pharma Engineer
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I’m looking for a hands-on data specialist to help me streamline our pharmaceutical data pipeline. SQL expertise is the cornerstone of the role, and you’ll pair that strength with PySpark to handle large datasets drawn from clinical and commercial sources.
What I need:
• Writing complex queries that pull, join, and aggregate data across multiple relational databases (primarily MySQL and PostgreSQL).
• Database optimization—indexing, execution-plan review, and refactoring—to ensure sub-second response times on critical dashboards.
• Clear, well-commented PySpark scripts that mirror the SQL logic for our distributed processing layer.
• Concise documentation explaining query logic, tuning steps, and any schema adjustments.
You should be comfortable interpreting pharma-specific tables (sales, trials, adverse events) and translating business questions into efficient data solutions. If you’re passionate about data analysis and engineering and have a track record of making relational systems fly, I’d love to work together.
