In search of literary agent/publisher
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am an award-winning writer who has published 23 books, most with major publishers -- children’s, young adult, adult; fiction and non-fiction -- and had plays produced – all without using an agent.
After spending many years funding my children’s education from the proceeds of six books and my consulting with top corporate executives worldwide, I have returned to writing fiction.
I am now seeking an agent/publisher to help me launch the novel quartet I am completing. I call it the “Saw Sutra Quartet.” It deals with experiences of characters involved in some of the dramatic events that shaped America 1965 through 1972.
I have recently finished the first novel in the project, the 70K word, “Death before War”. It is about love and murder involving American Marines in the Philippines on the cusp of the Vietnam War and comes to grips with some of the deepest existential reasons why our nation went to war.
Combining elements of adventure and murder mystery, this work of literary fiction elaborates a dark, existential prophecy that will haunt these, other American troops, and ultimately the nation, in the tragic war they will soon become involved in, a prophecy that resonates today.
The second and third novel in the quartet are also completed.
Logline, character sketches, and synopsis of “Death Before War” are at this link.
