Help with writing a speech

I am being introduced as the President to our trade association. I will be required to say some words upon my introduction as President. I don't need a long speech, but would like to sound prepared. I will need to take some of the time thanking some people, and I am thinking of making the subject of my words focus on "community". I believe the IWCA(International Window Cleaner's Assoc) provides extremely beneficial resources through Safety Education and Training Courses, but one of the most beneficial aspects is the Community the membership brings together, especially at the annual convention. This will be the 33rd annual convention, and it allows people in a similar industry to come together and help each other discover ways to address their issues within their businesses of all sizes.
