Public relations for non-profit

I am in need of public relations services for a non-profit organization. My primary goal is to increase awareness of the organization, and I am looking to reach a local, national, and potentially even international audience. I am not sure which types of media outlets would be best to use, but I want to target print, digital, and broadcast media. I am open to suggestions on what may work best. The project is a self-sustained community for adults with mental disabilities including those for which euthanasia has been legalized in several other countries. Thanks for your help!
