GCC Islamic Finance PR Specialist

Job ID: 40518266

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I’m looking to partner with a seasoned PR professional based in the GCC to lead financial communications activity for a client operating in the credit and investment space, with an immediate focus on Islamic-compliant financial products.

This is a hands-on, partnership-style role, not a coordination layer. The ideal consultant will already have strong relationships across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, and a proven track record of securing high-quality coverage in leading regional and international finance media. Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.

What the role involves

You will be responsible for building visibility and credibility for a suite of Sharia-compliant financial products, translating complex financial structures into clear, compelling, and media-ready narratives.

Core responsibilities include:

Securing coverage in tier-one financial and business publications across the GCC
Developing thought leadership articles, op-eds, and commentary pieces
Pitching and arranging interviews with senior executives and spokespeople
Proactively building and maintaining relationships with editors, reporters, and broadcast producers
Adapting and localising PR content to reflect regional regulatory and cultural considerations, particularly around Islamic finance
Supporting PR efforts for CEO speaking engagements at conferences or events within the region.

All technical product information will be provided; your role is to shape it into credible, newsworthy storytelling that resonates with GCC audiences and regulators.

Essential experience

You should have:
Significant experience in financial communications within the GCC region
A strong understanding of Islamic finance structures and Sharia-compliant products
Established relationships with key finance and business media in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE
A demonstrable track record of securing coverage in tier-one outlets
Confidence engaging directly with journalists and securing senior-level interviews
Experience translating complex financial concepts into clear, accessible narratives
