I’m integrating a short cognitive assessment into our mobile app and need a psychometric specialist to create a reliable, child-friendly test that measures problem-solving ability through multiple-choice items. Alongside the actual questions, I require a clear specification of the testing environment so my development team can build it exactly as intended.
What I need from you
• 10–12 multiple-choice items crafted for children (ages 7-12) that focus purely on problem-solving skills.
• A scoring key with rationale and guidance on interpreting raw scores.
• A concise technical document that spells out timing, item randomisation, UI prompts, accessibility considerations, data logging, and any security or privacy requirements for children’s data.
• Basic psychometric notes (target difficulty range, expected reliability, recommendations for future item-analysis or IRT calibration).
Acceptance criteria
1. Questions are age-appropriate and free of cultural or linguistic bias.
2. Specification is detailed enough that a developer with no testing background can implement the flow end-to-end without follow-up questions.
3. Deliverables arrive in editable formats (Word/Google Doc for spec, CSV/Excel for item bank).
4. Internal review confirms at least 0.70 estimated reliability using classical test theory assumptions.
