Part 1- ‘Psychological research into how humans interpret and interact within their environment has benefitted from drawing upon a diverse range of methods’. Evaluate this claim drawing on at least three of the five blocks from the module to illustrate your answer. (1800 words).

'You have been requested, as a psychologist, to be part of a team supporting the enrolment of new refugee students (aged 8–12) in a local primary school. It has come to light that the new students in other schools are facing a number of issues such as minimal participation in classroom activities, difficulty forming friendship groups and bullying. The school has shared that the new students are refugee children fleeing climate catastrophe and military violence. Most of the students have experienced the loss of family members and are living in the UK for the first time, and they are proficient in English.
The team has been tasked to provide a report assessing the potential issues that these new students may face and corresponding supportive interventions that the school can set in place. There are other team members focusing on the trauma that has resulted from the different types of violence and conflict that students have experienced. Therefore, the team is seeking guidance from you as a psychologist to do three things.
In reference to appropriate psychological literature, you should:
1. Explain what kinds of self-esteem issues the students may be facing and how the school can support the students in their emotional development.
2. Discuss the challenges that new students may have in acculturating to a new environment and how existing students can be taught to support their new peers.
3. Outline some recommendations for interventions based on your evaluation of 1 and 2.'
