Developmental Report and Data Analysis using reflexive thematic analysis
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
The project requires you to take on the role of a psychologist working for Digital Dates, a not for profit organisation that supports emerging adults in navigating online dating. The organisation has conducted interviews with four individuals aged within the emerging adulthood period and has asked you to analyse this data to better understand how online dating is influencing development at this life stage.
Using reflexive thematic analysis, you are required to examine the interview transcripts to identify meaningful patterns in participants’ experiences. These patterns should be developed into two overarching themes that capture how online dating is shaping aspects of development, particularly in relation to social roles, relationships, and identity. Your analysis must be grounded in the data and supported by participant quotes.
The project also requires you to interpret these findings using relevant developmental psychology theories to explain why these patterns are occurring. Based on your analysis, you will then provide clear and practical recommendations for Digital Dates to help inform their services, ensuring they are better equipped to support emerging adults in the context of online dating.
