Case Stufy for a Mental Health and Therapy application
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are currently in the research and development phase of an innovative digital platform designed to redefine how individuals in the Middle East access psychological support.
In many societies, especially within Arabic-speaking communities, seeking help from a psychologist is still accompanied by stigma — with individuals unfairly labeled as "crazy" or weak. This perception continues to prevent many from getting the support they need and deserve.
The platform aims to:
- Normalize mental health care by providing a safe, anonymous, and judgment-free space
- Enable users to connect with licensed psychologists remotely, removing the need for in-person visits
- Allow psychologists to create their own digital profiles and offer sessions — essentially functioning as a virtual private clinic
- Focus initially on the Arabic-speaking population in the Middle East
We are aware that some platforms offer similar features. However, our vision is to build a culturally relevant, privacy-focused, and emotionally intelligent solution tailored to our region's specific needs — both technically and psychologically.
What We’re Looking For:
We need someone who can help us craft a complete case study or strategic document that covers:
✅ Understanding the needs and challenges psychologists face, such as:
- Operational challenges in traditional clinics
- Limitations in reaching patients (especially those afraid of being seen)
- Administrative burdens, patient follow-up, appointment scheduling
- Need for flexible, secure systems for remote consultations
✅ Understanding the needs and fears of patients, including:
- Social stigma and privacy concerns
- Lack of trust in digital platforms
- Fear of being judged, exposed, or misdiagnosed
- Desire for real emotional connection without physical presence
✅ Recommending features that:
- Encourage patients to register (e.g., anonymous on-boarding, privacy tools, therapist ratings)
- Support psychologists' workflow (e.g., dashboards, case notes, scheduling)
- Build trust (e.g., verified therapist profiles, end-to-end encryption)
Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- Psychology background or deep understanding of therapeutic practices
- Experience in digital mental health, CRM
- Strong communication and writing skills to create a compelling case study
The candidate must be a native Arabic speaker, with a strong understanding of the mental health culture and sensitivities within the Arab world.
The final case study can be written in either Arabic or English, depending on your preference and the candidate’s strength.
