Precise Mechanical Part Measurements
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a batch of medium-sized mechanical parts, each roughly 5–40 cm in overall dimension, and I need exact data on three key points: overall length, critical angles, and full thread specifications. The parts are prototypes, so accuracy is more important than speed—I’ll be relying on these numbers for final machining drawings.
You’ll need to work with standard shop instruments—digital or vernier calipers for linear dimensions, a protractor or angle gauge for any slanted faces, and a screw-thread gauge (or pitch mic) for the threads. If you normally back-check with a surface plate, height gauge, or optical comparator, that’s great, but the minimum toolkit above is non-negotiable.
Since I am in the United States, my measurement project can only be shipped to a US address. Therefore, this task can only be completed by a freelancer located in the United States. Thank you.
When you’re done, send me a concise report that includes:
• A photo of each part with reference scale
• A table listing length, angle, and thread data with tolerances or measurement uncertainty you can stand behind
• Notes on any measurement challenges or anomalies you notice
