Noise-Proof PNP-ESP32 Wiring

I need a rock-solid wiring solution that lets my 12 V PNP proximity sensor talk to an ESP32 inside a stamping factory filled with motors, EMI and loud press strokes. Missed pulses are unacceptable, so every connection, filter and ground scheme has to be bulletproof.

Here is what I already know and want:
• Sensor: 12 V PNP proximity type.
• Logic: ESP32 powered from the same 12 V rail through a regulator—please specify the exact regulator module and any extra filtering you recommend.
• Isolation/noise control: I will be using a PC817 optocoupler as the front-end isolator.

Your job is to deliver a complete, ready-to-build wiring diagram that covers the sensor, PC817 interface, regulator, decoupling components, shielding strategy and common-ground layout.
