Looking for Soft Goods Designer to Create a Functional Sports Kit Bag (Tech Pack + Materials Guidance)

Job Description:

I’m looking for an experienced soft-goods / backpack / luggage designer to help me develop a high-performance sports kit bag from concept to manufacturer-ready design.

This will be a functional, premium-quality bag meant for active users — something between a sports duffel and a performance backpack.

I already have visual references and ideas for compartments, structure, and overall functionality, and now need a designer to translate that into a technical design package suitable for prototyping and manufacturing.

What I’ll Need from You:
- Detailed Tech Pack / Spec Sheet
- Dimensions, views (front, side, top, internal layout)
- Stitching and panel details
- Zipper, strap, and hardware placement
- Tolerances / construction guidelines

Visual Illustrations & Layouts
- Simple 2D sketches or CAD drawings showing shape and pocket placement
- Optional 3D rendering (if you use Clo3D, Rhino, or similar software)

Material & Component Suggestions
- Outer fabric (durability, waterproofing options like Cordura, TPU, etc.)
- Lining, padding, mesh, zippers (YKK specs), and buckles
- Handle and strap reinforcements
- Base material recommendation (for waterproof or rigid options)

Manufacturing Readiness
- Files and instructions that can be directly shared with a local or overseas manufacturer to make the first prototype
- (Optional) Guidance on suitable manufacturing methods or finishes

What I’ll Provide:
- Reference images of similar bags
- Notes on functionality, compartments, and target users
- Brand direction and basic aesthetics (colors, design moodboard, etc.)

Budget:
Open to proposals based on experience and deliverables. Please share examples of previous soft goods / bag design work when applying.
