Long-Range Alert Wristband System -- 2

Job ID: 40315184

Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD

I’m developing a simple, rugged communication setup made of two parts: a master tablet and multiple wrist-worn receivers.

The tablet must house a 5" × 8" screen in a water-resistant, shockproof and dustproof enclosure. Its job is to create a secure, long-range Wi-Fi hotspot that can simultaneously broadcast short alert/warning packets to every paired wrist device.

Each wrist unit is a stripped-down smartwatch: stretch-fit elastic band (one-size-fits-all), minimal display showing only the incoming alert text or icon, and a silent vibration motor as the sole notification method. No other apps, sensors or functions are needed. As soon as the tablet sends an alert, every paired band should vibrate and show the message instantly.

I need an end-to-end solution:
• Electronics design and component selection for both tablet transmitter and wrist receiver
• Firmware that handles the secure Wi-Fi link, message broadcast and vibration trigger
• Enclosure and strap design ready for small-batch manufacturing
• Working prototypes of at least one tablet and three bands, plus all CAD files, Gerbers, firmware source and build instructions for future scaling

Acceptance will be based on:
– Reliable connection at the specified range with at least 12 wrist units linked simultaneously
– Immediate vibration on the receivers when an alert is sent
– Tablet enclosure passing basic splash, drop and dust ingress tests
– Bands fitting a range of wrist sizes comfortably

If you have experience with custom wearables, low-power Wi-Fi modules and rugged tablet design, I’d love to see how you’d tackle this.
