KiCad PCB Design Review & Corrections — ESP32 Board
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have an existing ESP32-WROOM-32E handheld PCB designed in KiCad 10 — 2-layer, ~76×51mm, ~49 components (ESP32, CH340C USB-serial, TP4056 + DW01A battery charging, LDO, USB-C, LiPo). It's ~80–90% complete. I don't need a new design — I need corrections in my native KiCad files plus a full review before production.
Scope:
1) Re-power the CH340C from VBUS (USB 5V)
2) Fix footprint-size inconsistencies (some passives are 0402, should be 0603) — schematic → PCB → re-route.
3) Resolve a schematic/PCB reference mismatch.
4) Clean up a small floating track stub.
5) Run ERC (default rules ON) + DRC, deliver both reports (0 real errors), plus consistent Gerbers, BOM (LCSC parts), CPL, PDFs.
5) Perform a full independent design review of schematic and PCB.
This board was designed by a previous engineer and had several errors, so I want a careful check of power, connections, values, footprints, and manufacturability. Flag anything wrong, not just the points above.
Requirements: must work in KiCad and deliver native source files (no conversion). Experience with ESP32, CH340 USB-serial, and low-power/battery design is important. Board will be made at JLCPCB (use LCSC parts).
