About the Opportunity

We are an early-stage stealth startup building a premium consumer IoT device that combines smart hardware, sensors, electronics, and mobile app connectivity. The product is in the high-growth personal/consumer device segment, requiring precision engineering and clean product architecture.

You will work directly with the founder to take the hardware from concept to prototype and manufacturing-ready.
Detailed specifications will be shared only after an NDA is signed.

Key Responsibilities
1. Hardware Architecture & Development

Develop end-to-end hardware architecture for a multi-component smart device.

Integrate electromechanical parts such as:

Sensors

Microcontrollers

Motors/servos

Optional camera module

Build stable, scalable electronics suitable for mass production.

2. Prototyping & Validation

Build quick prototypes using 3D-printed or fabricated enclosures.

Validate functionality through mechanical and electrical integration.

Conduct performance, endurance, and safety tests.

Iterate rapidly based on usability and performance data.

3. IoT & Connectivity Support

Enable connectivity (WiFi/Bluetooth).

Support real-time data transfer to the mobile app.

Assist firmware team with integration and OTA readiness.

4. PCB & Electronics Design

Design PCBs, wiring schematics, and component layouts.

Optimize boards for low noise, efficiency, and compact fit.

Ensure robustness for consumer usage.

5. Pre-Production & Manufacturing Prep

Create BOM (Bill of Materials) and component/vendor list.

Suggest improvements for DFM (Design for Manufacturing).

Assist with sourcing, assembly, and early production planning.

Required Experience & Skills

3–7 years of experience in IoT hardware, robotics, or consumer electronics.

Strong proficiency in:

PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle)

Sensor and microcontroller integration

Motor and servo systems

Power systems (battery/adapter)

Prototyping tools and rapid iteration

Ability to own hardware development end-to-end.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Bonus Skills

(Not mandatory, but an advantage)

Experience with camera modules

Experience with smart home, pet-tech, or health-tech devices

Knowledge of injection molding, DFM, and IP ratings

Exposure to manufacturing (India or China)
