Equine Riding Underwear Prototype

Job ID: 39856293

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I have written a concise design brief for a piece of protective, supportive riding underwear that will be worn by the rider beneath breeches—not by the horse. The garment’s core job is to give targeted muscular support during schooling sessions and long hacks while staying breathable and low-profile under tight-fitting outer layers.

I now need someone experienced in performance equestrian or athletic apparel to take that brief all the way to a working prototype. You will translate my written brief and notes into a full tech pack, advise on high-stretch, moisture-wicking fabrics, draft the pattern, and sew a size-medium proof-of-concept sample that can withstand sitting trot, two-point, and posting without bunching or chafing.

Deliverables
• Complete tech pack with graded pattern files (DXF/AI/PDF) and construction notes
• Bill of materials specifying fabrics, trims, and suggested suppliers
• One physical prototype shipped to me for fit testing
• Short fit-test feedback form so I can record rider impressions and iterate

I’m happy to answer fabric-or fit-related questions quickly so you can keep momentum. If you’ve built compression shorts, cycling bibs, or similar equestrian gear before, please mention the tools and machines you typically use (Gerber, CLO3D, flat-lock, cover-stitch, etc.) and share photos of relevant work. I’m ready to start as soon as you are.
