Winning Bid Proposal Review

Job ID: 39897595

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I prepare bids for charity-sector strategy projects and, frustratingly, we keep finishing in second place. Debriefs highlight that our submissions aren’t fully aligned with each client’s needs and that the persuasiveness of our arguments could be sharper. I’m looking for an experienced bid writer to diagnose exactly where we’re falling short and show us how to move from “close” to “chosen.”

Here’s what I need from you:

• A detailed critique of one recent bid, including tracked-changes comments in Word that flag weak spots in structure, evidence, tone, and client alignment.
• A concise report summarising quick wins and deeper strategic fixes.
• A rewritten exemplar section (ideally the executive summary or value-for-money case) that demonstrates stronger persuasion techniques.
• A short style guide or checklist we can apply to future proposals.
• One follow-up call (about an hour) to walk me through your findings and answer questions.

I’m open to your proven frameworks, persuasion models, and any bid-writing tools that can help us tighten our messaging and clearly echo what funders are looking for. If you have a record of turning near-miss proposals into winners, I’d love to tap into your expertise.
