Proposal & Cost Estimation Engineer
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I need an experienced Proposal Engineer who can own the full quotation cycle for custom-engineered process equipment used in the oil & gas sector. Your core mission is to deliver fast, accurate, and competitive cost estimates and proposal packages that help both our sales and engineering teams win new projects for separators, scrubbers, pressure vessels, and other bespoke systems.
What the job looks like day-to-day
You will study customer RFQs, clarify technical requirements, build detailed material and fabrication cost models, and turn the numbers into clear commercial offers. That means pulling data from in-house calculations, vendor quotations, and prior projects, then packaging everything—technical write-ups, compliance notes, assumptions, and commercial terms—into a single, professional document our salespeople can send straight to the client.
Your background
I’m specifically after someone who has worked with oil & gas systems engineering and understands how design choices affect cost and schedule. Familiarity with ASME pressure vessel codes, sizing software, and typical EPC workflows will help you hit the ground running.
Key deliverables (per opportunity)
• Comprehensive cost estimate spreadsheet with supporting calculations
• Draft and final technical proposal, including datasheets and scope clarifications
• Commercial quotation covering price breakdown, payment terms, and delivery schedule
• A brief risk and contingency note highlighting cost drivers and assumptions
Acceptance criteria
• Estimates match vendor quotes and internal rate sheets within ±3 %
• Technical proposal aligns with customer RFQ and referenced standards
• Final package is ready for external submission without further edits
If you thrive on turning complex engineering scope into winning numbers, let’s talk.
