Government Contract Specialist Required

Project Title:
Government Contract Research & Proposal Submission Specialist (SAM.gov + eVA)
Objective:
To support Global 1 Consulting in identifying and applying to relevant government and state contracting opportunities on platforms such as SAM.gov and eVA. The selected contractor will act as a proposal and contract sourcing assistant.
Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification
Search SAM.gov, eVA.virginia.gov, and other relevant portals for active solicitations that match the company's NAICS codes and service offerings.
Focus on staffing, consulting, IT services, admin support, healthcare support (non-clinical), and project management contracts.
Prioritize small business set-asides, SWaM-friendly, and subcontracting opportunities.
Maintain a log of all identified opportunities with links, deadlines, and key notes.
Proposal Preparation and Submission
Complete all necessary documentation for low- to medium-complexity bids (RFQ, RFP, RFI).
Use our existing capability statement, certifications, and business information to complete submissions.
Submit proposals via SAM.gov, eVA, or via email as required by the opportunity.
Notify us of each submission with confirmation screenshots or tracking numbers.
Status Report
Deliver a simple progress report every Friday listing:
Opportunities found
Proposals submitted
Status updates (submitted, pending questions, rejected, etc.)
Recommendations for upcoming solicitations
Qualifications:
Experience submitting government bids on eVA and/or SAM.gov
Understanding of federal procurement language and proposal formatting
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet submission deadlines
Prior experience working with small businesses or certified vendors is preferred
Deliverables:
Minimum of 5 relevant opportunities sourced monthly
Minimum of 2 complete proposals submitted per month (if applicable)
Weekly activity report
Central tracking spreadsheet (we will provide or you may build one)

Our company assets (capability statement, DUNS, UEI, CAGE, certifications)
Google Docs/Sheets or Excel for tracking
Duration:
Initial contract: 30 days, with extension based on performance
Budget:
To be discussed based on experience and bid volume. Flat fee or milestone-based preferred.
