Market Research - Romanian Real Estate
Budget: $10 – $25 USD
Hello, I am a property investor in Warsaw. I am considering investing in real estate in Romania (Bucharest / Cluj / Brașov). I am looking to hire 1-2 freelancers to help me carry out research on the Romanian property market, and possibly cooperate with on longer term basis.
Time: At the start, this is a part-time opportunity which takes 5-10 hr/ week remotely. As the project develops, there is a chance to increase the hours up to 30 hr/ week - if you wish.
Payment: We will agree on an hourly rate with you, that is based on your level of experience. We are open to both junior candidates (university student and graduates) - but also highly experienced candidates.
Example of work you'll do:
- Carry out qualitative & quantitate research & analysis, on topics relating to the Romanian real estate market and the Romanian economy / social trends.
- Help identify the most promising areas for rental investments, based on an in-house method we developed, but also your own ideas
- Help identify high quality, relevant local contacts (e.g. property managers / renovation teams / buyer agents / real estate consultants)
- There'll be many other tasks, especially if we do decide to enter Romanian market after the research.
Key requirements:
- Located in Bucharest, Cluj or Brașov
- Have lived in Bucharest, Cluj or Brașov for at least 2+ years and know the city very well
- Native speaker of Romanian (must)
- Analytic but not shy with speaking to strangers on the phone
Bonus skills:
- A good general understanding of economy, politics and law in Romania. If you have a degree in business, economics, law, architecture - that is a nice bonus too!
- Existing experience in market research or project management.
- Existing real estate experience in Romania : E.g. maybe you have bought / sold a flat before, managed a flat, or invested in real estate.
- If you have experience using google spreadsheet and excel, and quite comfortable working with numbers in general - nice bonus, but not essential.
You can expect to earn some money and hopefully learn a few new skills too.
Hiring process for this project:
1. Questions and discussions with you via Upwork messages (rather than a call, as we find this to be more efficient and saving everyone's time)
2. Specific candidates will be invited to do a short pilot project - it will be paid
3. Based on the pilot project, we will identify candidates who are the best fit, for on-going / further collaboration
