Re-Claim my dogs Ontario Canada

Job ID: 33956937

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

Background

My girl friend and I started living together in a common law relationship and between us we had 3 dogs and a cat.
The dogs were all seniors and over the course of a couple of years passed away.
My common law wife was still working and I had taken early retirement and missed having a pet.
I purchased a rescue young dog for companionship and exercise through several walks a day.
After about a year my pup seemed lethargic so I rescued another young dog to help keep him active.
A few years passed and all was well but my common law wife suffers from migraines and is bipolar.
The relation ship broke down and she had become somewhat delusional and got a restraining order against me based on bogus events. I was not allowed to access the dogs I purchased and raised. She denied me access to the dogs.
I obtained proof of ownership from the shelter including dog license and vet bills all in my name and presented same to the police. They would not act but I filed a police report.
Under Canadian law, animals are property and there is plenty of case law.

Goal

Have my dogs returned to me.
What strategy and or tactics would yield the goal?
