I have a completed children’s manuscript, which has been edited by a developmental editor from Reedsy. It is aimed at readers aged 8–12, and I need a fresh pair of expert eyes to give it a final polish. The story’s tone is imaginative and whimsical, but the message is serious, having to do with climate change and family acceptance of difference. Corrections should enhance that playful voice while tightening the writing.
Your job is to spot and fix any lingering grammar, punctuation, or spelling issues, flag inconsistencies in style and characterisation, advise about character descriptions,, and note anything that might trip up a middle-grade reader without dampening the charm.
