School Website UX Quality Assurance

Job ID: 40562126

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

Website QA & UX Testing for Educational Project (School Missions Site)
Project Overview:
I have created an educational web application built for my students to use during school lessons. The site functions as an interactive "mission briefing" platform themed around a fictional scenario called "Renegade Hero" (featuring Cayman-themed storylines, digital activities, and robotics/coding style concepts).

Before launching this to my pupils, I need a meticulous Quality Assurance (QA) tester to review the entire site. Children are incredibly quick to spot errors, and I want to ensure the platform is flawless, clear, and perfectly functional.

Scope of Work / What You Need to Test:
You will be expected to thoroughly explore the site and provide a structured report addressing the following:

Bug & Error Identification: Look for any functional bugs, broken components, layout shifts, or responsive design issues across the site.

Link Verification: Check every single link (including main navigation, story tabs, mission pages 1–11, resources, and external helper links) to ensure they work, point to the correct destination, and are appropriate for a school audience.

Proofreading & Copyediting: Identify any spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, typos, or formatting inconsistencies in the text.

Clarity & User Experience (UX): Evaluate the site from a student's perspective. Highlight anything that feels too complicated, ambiguous, or could easily be misunderstood by a pupil trying to complete a mission.

Constructive Feedback & Improvements: Provide actionable suggestions on how to improve the layout, navigation flow, or overall design of the site to enhance student engagement.

Deliverables:
A final text document or spreadsheet (Excel/Word/Markdown) containing:

A list of any identified bugs or broken elements (with page URLs and screenshots if applicable).

A list of text/typo corrections.

Notes on clarity issues or confusing instructions.

A short summary of your top 3–5 ideas to improve the platform.

Required Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail.

Experience in Website Testing / Quality Assurance / UX Design.

Strong proofreading and English language skills.
