To proof read galley proofs of book projects under different stages of production — manuscript to final proofs — for accuracy and stylistic consistency
To thoroughly check camera ready copies, covers and ferroes before sending for printing
To proof read marketing materials like catalogues, sectionals, posters, cover blurbs and so on
To undertake thorough quality check of camera ready copy and ferroes with respect to adherence to stylistic consistency, printability, accuracy of index and contents entries, ISBNs, copyright notices, company logos, author name and affiliations, and so on
To liaise with authors for checking of copy edited and proof read manuscript and proof pages
To liaise with vendors for generation of proof pages after incorporation of copyediting/proof reading/modification by authors and ensure adherence to schedules and accuracy
To liaise with freelance copyeditors and proof readers appropriately under the instructions of the Managing Editor/Editorial Head
